Chatty Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) v0.1R

This document describes and specifies the rules and regulations
for use on any Chatty service, including, but not limited to,
Chatty IRC, Web, and Mail servers. By connecting to any of these
services you agree to the terms specified in this document.
In addition to this document there might be a per-server policy
which can be found in the MOTD(Message Of The Day) of the server
you are using.

1 - RULES
You must follow and agree to the following rules while connected
to an IRC server linked to the Chatty IRC network:
1. Abuse of any Chatty service is not allowed. This includes but
is not limited to: Denial of Service attacks, flooding, clone
bot attacks, or gaining unauthorized access to any machine
which in any way is connected to Chatty.
2. Chatty has te right to deny access to it's services without any
reason and prior notice. Connecting to the Chatty IRC Network is
a privilege, not a right.
3. Channels created with the sole purpose of trading files are
not allowed. When found they will be closed without prior notice.
4. Distribution of illegal files is not allowed.
(copyrighted software, audio, video)
5. Unsolicited advertising to Chatty users is not allowed, and
may result in a network wide ban.
6. Unsolicited advertising for Chatty on other networks is not
allowed.
7. When the actions of a user affect the entire network access may
and will be denied on the entire network
8. If a user succesfully evades a server/network ban, we have the
right to deny access to the users entire ISP.
9. No more than two bots per channel are allowed. When violating
all bots may be killed without prior notice.
10. When available you must follow rules and regulations stated in
the MOTD of the server you are connected to.
11. These rules are subject to change without notice.
2 - CONCEQUENCES
When violating any rule or regulation stated in this document, Chatty may
deny you any further access to the Chatty services without any prior notice.
If you intentionally evade restrictions placed on your connection Chatty
reserves the right to ban your entire ISP.
Chatty will cooperate fully with all legally recognized law enforcement
agencies in the event that a crime is committed within our network.
When any of the Chatty services are found to be used for illegal activities,
observed and verifiable instances may be reported to the appropriate
authorities.
3 - SUPPORT
If you are banned from the Chatty Network and wish to appeal the restrictions
layed upon your connection use the following email addresses:
kline@SERVERNAME.chatty.nl if k-lined on a particular server.
akill@chatty.nl if akilled on the entire network.
help@chatty.nl for any other possible case.
Any complaints and abuse reports should go to abuse@chatty.nl
4 - DISCLAIMER
Chatty is an unmoderated forum. By connecting to any Chatty IRC Server you
recognize and accept that some content may be considered offensive and
inappropriate to some people, and that Chatty can not be held legally
responsible for any emotional damage you may incur.
By connecting to any Chatty IRC server you agree not to bring any legal
action against the server administrators, IRC operators, or any user
representing the Chatty IRC network.
The Chatty administration does not log or monitor any traffic for content
or clarity. By retaining a connection to any part of the Chatty network,
you state that you know and are willing to comply and accept these
as well as any future terms of service and network policies.
